Sunday 9 October - Monday 10 October 2005
Milan, Italy

How can Africa achieve peace and prosperity? How should the global institutions be reformed? These are among the big questions up for discussion in a remarkable two day progressive political debate organised by Europe?s socialist parties.

The Party of European Socialists, the Socialist Group in the European Parliament and Socialist International have brought together, under the umbrella of the ?Global Progressive Forum?, an incredibly diverse range of socialist and social democratic politicians in government and opposition, NGOs and other civil society organisations, trade unions and other progressive-minded people for an open dialogue on turning gloabalisation into a more positive force for people and our planet.

The Global Progressive Forum takes place in Milan on September 9-10 as part of the famous ?Festa de l?Unita? organized every year by our Italian sister party, Democratici di Sinistra.
