Thank you for visiting my website. I was first elected to the European Parliament in 1999 - one of the first MEPs of Asian origin and London's first minority ethnic MEP.

This site gives you information about my work as your MEP as well as my background in various areas, my articles, publications, and media output.

Claude recently attended the launch of the European Cities Network on Child Poverty at City Hall in London. This briefing covers what action the EU has taken and will take and how this relates to the situation on the ground in London.

Ending Street Homelessness
Claude recently co-authored a Written Declaration which calls for the EU to work for the end of street homelessness in the EU by 2015. Claude worked closely with the UK based umbrella charity group, Homesless Link who operate throughout the UK. For more information please contact the office.
